2022 Reflections

Dear Friends,

Today I am thankful for the opportunity to reflect on 2022 and pull out the nuggets of wisdom gleaned from the experiences and events of the past year.  A dear friend is known to frequently quote her brother, Bryan Arzani, who says, “We don’t learn from experience, we learn from reflection on our experiences.”  I invite you to take an opportunity over the next few weeks to consider your 2022- the good, the bad and the ugly.  What are the gems of knowledge and growth you want to take with you into 2023 and beyond?

If you are interested in mine, please listen to my podcast, “Designed for Greatness with Candice Noss”. (Click the link to listen)

Over the past few months, I’ve poured over my life experiences in search of the pearls of wisdom I could share to bless the lives of others.  The amount of prayer, time, energy, intention, work, effort, committed dedication and love I put into each episode surprises me.  It’s only through the grace of God I am able to get these messages out into the world.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to really get intimate with the struggles that broke me down, the tricky ups and downs inherent in the journey, the relationships that both build and challenge me and the lessons life continues to teach.  I’m thankful for the growth inherent in the 50/50 of life and continue to geek out about powerful truths and their application to our Mind, Body and Spirit.  I am so grateful for 2022!!

As you contemplate your past and your growth, I encourage you to remember a quote from Thomas Jefferson which is one of my very favorites,

“The pursuit of happiness (a meaningful life) has to do with the internal journey of learning to know oneself, and the external journey in service to others.”

What have you learned about yourself and who you really are this year?  What have you learned about your missions? How can you use your experiences and talents to best serve others in 2023?

I had a Facebook post pop up a few days ago and it really resonated with me.  I want to share part of it now in hopes that it will inspire you as you think back over the past year.  It is from Hannah Williamson:

  • “If you are called to mend the brokenhearted, you are going to wrestle with a broken heart.
  • If you are called to heal God’s little ones, you are going to experience your own share of trauma…
  • If you are called to preach and teach the gospel, you WILL be sifted for the wisdom that anoints your message.
  • If you are called to empower, your self-esteem will be attacked- your successes hard fought…”

You are designed for greatness!!  There is a plan in place molding and refining you.  As we close out another year, may it grant you awareness, wisdom, and clarity as to your internal journey to know yourself and your external journey in service to others.  I am so thankful for the chance to reflect and am grateful that the end of the year triggers us to do this meaningful reflection.

Genuinely yours,

Candice Noss
