Bread Crumbs

Dear Friends,

Happy Thursday!!  As you reflect over the past week, what are you thankful for?  I’d love to hear from you. 🙂

Today, I’m feeling thankful for “following crumbs”.  Many times in life, we know where we are, and we know where we want to go, but we aren’t always clear on how to get there.  In fact, it is sometimes very hard to even take one step toward making a decision.  It is just human nature (extreme survivalism/tribal paranoia/natural man) to have ample self-doubt, confusion and uncertainty when it comes to taking a step out of our comfortable cave.  It is natural to say, “Tell me what to do and I’ll do it” or “Just give me the answer and I will do whatever it is”, but life rarely plays out this way.

I’m so grateful that instead of being shut down by not knowing clearly how to get there, or refusing to take a step until I know it is absolutely the “right” or “best” thing to do, all that is required of you and I is to “follow the crumbs.” I love the Frozen II song where it says, “Just do the next right thing”.  This is “following the crumbs”!!  If we get quiet and go internal, we really do know what the next right thing is, even if it is just a baby step (or we at least have a clue about what to try).

As I learn to recognize revelation,  pay attention to inspiration and trust my intuition, I “follow these crumbs”.  It’s so fun to approach it all scientifically and see what happens with each crumb I follow, even if I don’t quite understand why or the timing of it all.  The truth is, following the crumbs creates a domino effect of beautifully orchestrated “coincidences” resulting in more and more crumbs to follow. “Following the crumbs” is trusting that I might not know the whole plan, but I do know the next right thing, and then taking action.  Some crumbs seemingly lead to dead ends, but I truly believe that all things work together for our good.  Crumb after crumb, followed with faith, leads to a reality that can be surprising and that surpasses our wildest dreams.

What is happening or not happening in your life that you have been praying and meditating about?  What is one crumb that you could follow that you recognize as intuition, revelation or inspiration?  I challenge you to take action on that crumb and watch with curiosity what comes of it.  It may be as simple as a phone call or as big as an investment.  Just “do the next right thing” knowing that nothing but good will come from everything you experience.  Let me know how it goes!!

Gratefully yours,

Candice Noss
