Own Your BELOVEDNESS

I’m thankful today for my sweet sister-in-law who followed a prompting to share a song with me. This song absolutley spoke to my soul!!  It touched my heart so deeply that I have listened to it on repeat every day since she sent it.

I am going through a beautiful course, “Becoming Spiritually Centered & Overcoming the World” by James Cox.  This is my second time being part of a group that listens to the audio lessons together, and then discusses the principles taught.  We share our experiences and support eachother throughout the week.  Part of the homework for this week is to pray to FEEL God’s love for ME 20+ times a day.  I’ve been praying different versions of this prayer, “Father, I know I am your daughter, that I was born and reared in your courts of glory on high. I know you love me with perfect love.  Please help me FEEL your love this day.” I put my watch on my right hand (I usually wear it on my left) so that everytime I noticed my watch it would trigger me to say this prayer.

Shortly after I began this challenge of praying like this, multiple times an hour, out of the blue, my sister in law sent me this amazing song, “Belovedness” by Sarah Kroger.  This song had me just weeping.  It is the same message I am meant to share with the world! Own your greatness and use that greatness to fulfill your missions and serve this world in awesome ways.  Owning our belovedness is critical to owning our greatness!!  It is the lynchpin to living an elevated, meaningful life of fulfillment.  Owning our belovedness MUST be in place and established if we are to own our greatness and then use our greatness to bless others and fulfill our purpose. Everytime I hear this song, I feel God’s love for me in a deep, sacred way.  What a beautiful and deepy personal answer to my prayer!!

I have been so moved by this song!!  One morning while I was in the tub contemplating my next speaking engagement, inspiration came that one of the most important things I could do would be to sing this song at the end of my presentation. Wait… What? I love to sing, but my talent is very raw and unrefined.  However, I couldn’t deny the direction I received. I felt God’s love in the answer I received. I know the power music.  Music amplifies the power of words and will take a message straight to the hearts of those ready to hear.  Music creates a rich experience and allows a message to be heard and then repeated in the minds of those who hear and are touched. By small miracles and tender mercies, my Brother in Law arranged a way for me to have the accompaniment for this song so I actually can sing it. My close friend and roomate on the speaker’s cruise is helping me practice and fine-tune it. I am on target to sing this powerful song during my presentation on my Speaker’s cruise. (Send me your good vibes!!)  It is all divinely orchestated. As I step back, I feel God’s love for me so profoundly and see His hand so clearly and on so may levels.

I challenge you to pray 20+ times a day to feel God’s love for YOU.  Switch your watch to the opposite arm, and everytime you notice it, let that trigger you to pray some version of, “Father, I know I am your daughter, that I was born and reared in your courts of glory on high. I know you love me with perfect love.  Please help me feel your love this day.”  Listen to this song  “Belovedness” by Sarah Kroger and own your belovedness!!  I’d love to hear about your experiences with this challenge!

Here are the words to the song:

Belovedness by Sarah Kroger

You’ve owned your fear and all your self-loathing

You’ve owned the voices inside of your head

You’ve owned the shame and reproach of your failure

It’s time to own your belovedness

You’ve owned your past and how it’s defined you

You’ve owned everything everybody else says

It’s time to hear what your Father has spoken

It’s time to own your belovedness

He says, “You’re mine, I smiled when I made you

I find you beautiful in every way

My love for you is fierce and unending

I’ll come to find you, whatever it takes

My beloved”

You’ve owned the mess you see in the mirror

You’ve owned the lies that you’re just not enough

You’ve been so blinded by all you’re comparing

It’s time to own your belovedness

He says, “You’re mine, I smiled when I made you

I find you beautiful in every way

My love for you is fierce and unending

I’ll come to find you, whatever it takes

My beloved”

You are completely loved and fully known

Beloved, believe He died to make your heart His home

And He says, “You’re mine, I smiled when I made you

I find you beautiful in every way

My love for you is fierce and unending

I’ll come to find you, whatever it takes”

He says, “You’re mine, I smiled when I made you

I find you beautiful in every way

My love for you is fierce and unending

I’ll come to find you, whatever it takes

My beloved”

It’s time to own your belovedness.
