The Gratitude Vibe

Dear Friends,

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!  

I love that Thanksgiving always falls on “Thankful Thursday”!! 🙂

As we bask in the feeling of gratitude on this Thanksgiving holiday, I challenge you to notice how powerful the emotion of gratitude actually is.  Notice how you feel today as you reflect on your blessings and the wonderful things in your life.  As you are operating from a place of gratitude, be aware of your actions- are they different? Are you able to get more done? Does it feel like things flow easier? Are you generally happier?

There is a vast amount of scientific studies proclaiming the benefits of gratitude. Being grateful is proven to improve happiness, health, longevity, attitude, sense of well-being, resilience, and even sleep (just to name a few).  Gratitude  has also been proven to combat stress, depression, anxiety, and disease. In my life, I have done my own experiments with gratitude and proven many times over that gratitude is a magnet for miracles!! 

Why? How can a simple emotion have so much power?  How can the singular act of being intentionally grateful have such a compelling positive sway over our lives?  

The scientific answer… vibration!!  Emotions are simply vibrations in our bodies and one of the highest frequency emotions is gratitude.  I call it a bridge emotion.  If we are operating in a low place of depression, anger, anxiety, hate, frustration, overwhelm, bitterness, guilt, shame… purposefully tapping into gratitude provides a bridge.  Genuine gratitude actually lifts us out of these low emotions that do not serve and lands us in a much higher vibe place. 

Scientists state that the human body is 60-70% water.  The effect of vibration on water, according to scientific studies, and how this correlates to our health is fascinating.  Low frequency vibrations breakdown the molecular structure of water, while high frequency vibrations enhance and create more intricate molecular structure in water. (Google Masuru Emoto water experiments to learn more.) If 60-70% of our body is experiencing enhanced molecular structure when we are grateful and therefore operating our lives from higher vibrational emotions, no wonder the science shows increased health.  Furthermore, it is obvious that living in hate, depression, fear etc. will cause disease.  60-70% of the molecules in our body are breaking down when we operate in low frequency emotions. 

So, if you are interested in a better life, generate gratitude, by being intentional about the thoughts you think, as often as possible, every single day!!  Draw miracles into your life.  Utilize the gratitude effect.  Be grateful on purpose.  Acknowledge the good in your life.  Tease out the gift in the struggle you are experiencing. 

What are your favorite gratitude practices that help you stay operating from an attitude of gratitude? I like keeping my brain busy with questions like, “What’s awesome about this?”, “What is special about this moment?”, “How can I trade my expectation for appreciation?”, “What are some tender mercies I saw today?”… I love tapping into my “top 3” and asking my kids everyday what their top 3 is.  I am striving to write more notes and texts of appreciation.  I want to be more consistent with a daily gratitude journal.  What do you do to see the world through the lens of gratitude?

I am so thankful for the power of gratitude in my life.  It is one of the top 5 core emotions I strive to drive my life from because of how truly magical it is.
